Bar Ends
Bar Ends are short extensions of MTB handlebars that are added to the outer end of the handlebars. The inclination angle of the bar ends should approximately match that of the handlebars. This is necessary to prevent unfavourable wrist positioning. Bar ends enable an ergonomically improved position (elongated sitting position) particularly when pedalling out of the saddle and going uphill. Additionally they offer the cyclist more gripping options. Anatomically shaped bar ends significantly improve ergonomic handling. There are also special bar ends which have been developed with sport medicine specialists that counteract numb and/or pain ridden hands.
