Racing Bike Helmets
Although the wearing of a helmet has been a requirement during major tours for many years now, this unfortunately has still not had an effect on many racing bike enthusiasts: A helmet is an essential part of cycling. Many serious or fatal head injuries could be avoided if all accident victims had worn a helmet while en route. Racing cyclists, in particular, are exposed to the specific dangers presented by road traffic. The argument many racing cyclists invoke to still cycle without a helmet is always the same: Poor ventilation, unpleasant to wear. Scientific studies have clearly proven the contrary. Nowadays, high-quality helmets provide excellent ventilation. Thanks to sophisticated adaptation systems and their light design, they are also ideal in terms of comfort. And the helmets are safe anyway as, according to EU law, a helmet may not be sold without a CE test seal.
