Thule – Travelling a long way

This Swedish group started out in 1942 when Erik Thule printed his name on a Pike Trap that he designed and later sold on to fishermen in Scandinavia. As business boomed, the founder turned his attention to car roof racks, the first set of which hit the markets in the 1960s. The 70s brought the company name to international markets, including Japan and the US. 1978 saw the production of the first roof mounted bike racks, and before long the carrier group became a trusted, world-leader in transport solutions for large equipment.
