UVEX – „think global, act local“
In 1926 UVEX was founded by Philipp M. Winter in Fürth Bavaria and from these humble beginnings it has expanded and developed into a significant international name. The history of the firm has been moulded by some of the most difficult times in recent history including wars and times of economic hardship – but they have never wavered in their quest to become a global player.
UVEX – crossing the atlantic
In the 1980s they managed the leap across the Atlantic and today the firm is represented not only in the USA and Canada, but also Japan, Switzerland and Australia. In 2009 their tenacity was recognised when they were awarded the coveted “Brand of the century” award for their work in the field of ski goggles.
