The body weight of the driver is supported or held by a mechanical lock. This means that the seat post is secure and there’s less room for technical failure.

By actuating the hydraulic lever while pressing down on the saddle, the seat post immediately moves down. The Turbine seat post also works at temperatures below 0 degrees.
