The shoes are narrow . I have 43 and had to order the size 44. The shoes themselves are finished with waterproof leather and the lining is splash-proof I would say.
Comfortable shoe that you can also just wear, so that's a plus.
For riding in puddles and such, great shoe, some water does enter but I have the feeling that it has dried out quickly. Have now made a trip of 20km at 4° in the rain with normal stockings and I must say that my toes were very cold. So I would say more shoe for 6+ degrees.
