The Alpina Hackney bicycle helmet has a face. He winks friendly with the front air vents and yet he is cheeky enough to please the cool kids. But even more important: The Alpina Hackney protects the youngsters on all their adventures. The sturdy Inmold construction and Hi-EPS provide the cushioning properties in the event of a collision. A guardian angel, formed by the upper helmet openings, also always rides along. It is also a symbol with a wink, but also a symbol with a clear statement: Alpina wants to protect you. Always. Everywhere.
The ventilation inlets of the Alpina Hackney not only form a face and a guardian angel, but are mainly responsible for optimal ventilation. The height-adjustable run system also ensures comfort. This makes adjustment child's play and ensures maximum wearing comfort. As an option, a plug-in light can be integrated into the rear of the bicycle helmet, which allows the kids to be noticed early by other road users, even in poor visibility and darkness. Visibility brings safety. That is why the Alpina Hackney is also available in a neon yellow "be visible" version.
In the Inmold production process, the helmet upper shell made of polycarbonate is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS inner shell of the helmet body under great heat and strong pressure. This creates a large-area and inseparable connection between the upper and lower shell. Advantage: The helmet is very light and at the same time extremely stable.
The inner shell of all Alpina helmets is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). The material has microscopically small air chambers which absorb the forces that act on the helmet during an impact. Hi-EPS provides optimum protection and at the same time allows extra-thin wall thicknesses and narrow helmet shapes.
Custom Fit is an adjustment system at the back of the head that allows you to adjust the height of the Run System in several steps. This makes it possible to adjust the helmet's optimum fit for a wide range of head shapes. Pressure points are a thing of the past, the helmet fits perfectly and safety is increased.
Proven hundreds of thousands of times and used in all Alpina helmets: the belt buckle with the red push button and multi-stage automatic lock. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - uphill you can loosen the strap, downhill you can tighten it - and in the event of a fall, the buckle mechanism cannot open by itself.
A helmet can only provide the best possible protection if it remains in the optimum position in the event of a collision. The adjustment and fixing of the two straps under the ear plays a decisive role in this. The Y-clip system guarantees an adjustment accurate to the millimetre - in seconds.
