Another smart way to convert your old bike into a single speed bike: the Singleator helps you to tension the chain on vertical dropouts without having to have new dropouts welded into the frame. The arm is forged, not milled and is therefore really stable. Surly has built in an 11 tooth pulley so it runs quietly and easily. Be careful with your photocopier: the singleator is the forefather. It works better than others.
