Hebie Steering Damper
Steering dampers effectively prevent the handlebar from turning when the bike is parked (e.g. on a workstand). This makes the bike much safer. Additionally, steering dampers increase general riding comfort through greater stability and improved directional stability (e.g. when riding with baskets or bags). Frames, light cables and other attachments are no longer damaged when turning the handlebars.
This oversized version of the steering damper is intended for use with suspension forks.

I don't know why, but this steering damper is really poor quality and yet there is no alternative available almost everywhere. I've already tried my luck 3 times and stick with my verdict: it's difficult to install, doesn't last long and is built in such a way that it has to be replaced regularly. There are other options available on the internet that are better than this.

Excellent solution to a PITA problem
Excellent item. Fitted very easily, and in an instant solved the annoying wigwag handlebar issue.
I use a large(ish) handlebar bag and front panniers. The weight of those bags causes the front wheel to 'fall' either left or right. Its a nuisance when walking the bike or when locking it up. The light Hebie steering damper is a very efficient fix. I noticed very little change to the handling of the bike when loaded or without luggage. Its great. I am delighted with this purchase, and very much recommend it.

screw too short. Should I now look for the right screw in the hardware store, or what?! Also does not fit frames with gear and brake cables that run under the frame. How can you sell crap like that. Never again Hebie.
