All-mountain & enduro: For big mountains & steep trails

All-mountain & enduro: for big mountains & steep trails

All-mountain bikes are efficient tourers – as much at home on the Alps as on your local trails. If you are looking to ride trails with longer climbs, take a closer look at all-mountain bikes with up to 160 mm suspension travel. If you’re looking for something even more aggressive, one of the new enduro bikes will offer top-notch downhill performance while only marginally sacrificing climbing efficiency. With up to 170 mm suspension travel, these bikes are as at home on the slopes as in the bike park. Both bike types usually feature 27.5" wheels with wide rims and tyres. Powerful hydraulic disc brakes and high-quality shocks from RockShox or Fox are prerequisites for fun on exposed terrain. A dropper seatpost should also be included amongst the basic components. Prices start at around £2000.
