26” hardtail mountain bikes

The current range of hardtail mountain bikes with 26" wheels can be roughly divided into three different categories. The first type is beginners' mountain bikes which pairs the classic wheel size with smaller frames, often for smaller riders. The second, and perhaps most important, are dirt jump hardtails which use 26" wheels for better rigidity and agility when doing tricks. Finally, there are some fatbikes with 26" wheels, giving an overall wheel dimension that ends up much closer to the larger 29er.
