If full back and side protection is required in the bike park, there is no way around the Bluegrass Armour B&S with D3O pads - including additional shoulder pads. The protector vest is made of Vaportech and stretch mesh fabric for optimum breathability and fit.
Soft padding provides unisex fit and improved breathability to prevent overheating even on long ascents.
The Bluegrass Armour B&S is compatible with Neck-Brace for neck protection. The hydration system with a pocket for the hydration bladder has also been thought of - for constant hydration during the ride.

Top protection! The waistcoat is tight-fitting but not constricting. I've never noticed them while driving, and I'm not sweating any more than usual. When I'm going up, I usually have the zip open. Putting it on and taking it off is very easy thanks to the front zip. Price/performance ratio is right.
Tip: Wear an XXL shirt over it in summer.

My first chest/back protection, so I have no experience with other brands/types. Vest fits tightly, but because of the 3D materials and mesh it does not feel warm / bulky. While cycling, I did not notice that I was wearing it / hindering me. Fortunately, I have no experience with how much it protects.
