Product description

Bombtrack Munroe SG glossy metallic black/red (glossy metallic black/red)

Due to bottlenecks and delays in worldwide supply chains, the manufacturer may have replaced individual components from the original specification with equivalent or even higher quality components. Therefore, the bicycle delivered may deviate from the images in certain cases.

New for 2022, the Munroe SG is an affordable dropbar alternative to the popular Munroe AL that even comes in the new black colourway. The offroad-influenced geometry provides fast handling over parkside shortcuts for those wanting to navigate the city with a little more speed. The aluminium frame and fork are solid and compliant, benefiting from Bombtrack’s signature fork, fender and cage mounting points. Tubeless-ready WTB tyres built on 650B wheels can handle the rough with the smooth, meaning if you want to take the bike off-road on the weekend, you can. A clutched Microshift Advent 9-speed derailleur holds everything steady, rounded off with Tektro Mira disc brakes for stopping power.

Bombtrack Munroe SG glossy metallic black/red
Torben
Ok, but too expensive for what is offered
Translated from the German To the original
The Munroe SG is a gravel bike that has its roots in mountain bikes rather than road bikes. But despite the thick tires, you can drive fast and it's fun. For the price, however, it is very disappointing. 9-speed gears and the simplest mechanical brakes are much cheaper elsewhere. The plastic cover of the Microshift brake levers presses uncomfortably in the hoods when riding, SRAM or Shimano are much more comfortable here. The brakes - even for a mechanical one - are very poor and take away from the joy of driving. Bombtrack's pricing policy remains a mystery to me. Compared to the top dogs Specialized, Cannondale, Giant and Co. they are a German no-name manufacturer. The built-in components are just as bad as those of the big manufacturers, but Bombtrack sells the bikes even more expensive in some cases. With what reason? I was disappointed and returned my bike.
