With its newly developed lens technology, the IXON Pure offers good road and close-range illumination. The circumferential rubber edge serves as shock protection, in the front headlight area as glare protection. It is powered by three AA batteries or rechargeable batteries. Thanks to the click system, the IXON Pure can be quickly mounted on the bike and removed from the bike just as quickly. With battery indicator and German test mark.

I use the headlight for evening rides on my folding bike. First impression: Mercilessly bright, but the illumination is not really perfect.
The fastening is rubber-mounted so that the lamp does not receive every bump unchecked, but it also vibrates vigorously on bumpy roads and so the light beam "wobbles" along with it. Adjusting the headlight is not easy because of this rubber mounting and can also change unintentionally if you accidentally lean on the headlight.
The lighting in the direction of travel is still good even in the darker brightness level, but the side lighting is not optimal, which is very annoying when you are just before a bend and then you can hardly see the further way.
On the whole, however, the part is very useful and I like the mode where the part automatically switches to the darker level with a half-empty battery (while the indicator LEDs are somehow not that easy to see, and the different flashing rhythms are not really intuitive, less is more).
Above all, the exchangeable batteries make the part really suitable for everyday use, because with the many battery-operated devices that you carry with you, you don't want to have to pay attention to the charge level of the headlights. I always have AA batteries with me anyway. You only have to take a quiet look at the opening mechanism so that you can get through it if it's dark.
Conclusion: A good practical product with small weaknesses.
