The innovative shape of the outer chainring and the contoured pin guarantee fast and quiet gear changes. In addition, the symmetrical tooth shape on the inner chainring improves the stability of the chain crossings.

In the standard bolt circle, carbon fibre has been increasingly used to reduce weight. Four screws are used to fix the chainring, which increases the stiffness of the component. The different number of bolts for each of the three gear combinations (34/50, 36/52, 39/53) makes upshifting easier by optimising the engagement of each combination; furthermore, the relief of the outer chainrings makes it easier to downshift in the dead zones of pedalling and improves performance.
