Please note: all of our bike models come with an EU standard brake setup. This will need to be reversed to comply with UK cycling standards.
The shape and functionality of the new Ergopower EPS 12-speed are the result of a careful study aimed at ensuring ergonomics that are as efficient and effective as possible. The brake lever, redesigned with the new 12-fold design, has a shape derived from the detailed studies of the Campy Tech Lab on the ergonomics of the hands and provides the cyclist with an intuitive, practical and comfortable "control centre" together with the position of the down-shift lever.
The Ergopower Super Record EPS DB brake lever includes the AMS (Adjustable Modulation System), which allows you to set the desired modularity, and the Reach setting, which allows you to adjust the brake lever to the optimum distance from the handlebar.
Multi-Dome Technology, developed thanks in part to the close collaboration between Campagnolo Tech Lab and Campagnolo sponsored professional athletes, has made it possible to achieve the perfect balance between the actuation force and the tactile feedback that makes it possible to perceive the impact of the force. Finally, the Ergopower brake lever has the task of giving the athlete full control over the functions of the drive system, and the MODE button, located immediately behind the lever for downshifting the rear derailleur on both the right and left gear levers, is the instrument. By simply interacting with the MODE button, the cyclist can check the state of charge of the battery, make precise adjustments to the rear derailleur or front derailleur (even while riding) and check all types of diagnoses.
Campagnolo calipers: powerful, flexible and reliable
Thanks to 22 mm diameter pistons, Campagnolo's flat-mount calipers provide a powerful and easily controlled braking force at all times. The pads are reset by the magnet system without friction when the brake lever is released. A special metal plate between the brake pad and the caliper piston dampens vibrations during braking.
One Lever-One Action
As with the mechanical lever, the shift levers are operated in a natural and intuitive way. The actuation of the levers causes and accompanies the chain movement on the sprockets or chainrings. If, for example, lever 2 of the right Ergopower is operated from right to left, it moves the rear derailleur and shifts the chain up one sprocket from right to left, i.e. the movement is copied exactly.
Waterproof - IP 67
The Campagnolo EPS electronic drive unit complies with international IP67 standards. This enables the system to protect its electronic components from dust and liquid penetration. In order to obtain the IP67 classification, all electronic components of the EPS system have been subjected to a series of tests confirming perfect operation up to one metre under water for at least 30 minutes.
