Cane Creek Thudbuster ST Seatpost Ø27,2mm black

Sprung seat posts bring a bit of full suspension comfort to bikes without rear suspension. While most other suppliers of spring-loaded seat posts rely on a telescopic design like what’s used in a suspension fork, Cane Creek has for many years taken a different approach with its Thudbuster post.

The striking parallelogram Thudbuster design can also be found on the lightweight Thudbuster ST with its short 33mm suspension travel, aimed more at sporty riders. The ST also employs the same nifty construction methods: a sensitive suspension system that can be easily and flexibly adjusted to the rider's weight, offers almost maintenance-free extra comfort and prevents both tilting and play on the saddle - as with many other telescopic spring supports. The spring element of the Cane Creek Thudbuster ST is a single elastomer in the middle of the parallelogram. This is available in different hardnesses and can be easily exchanged. An elastomer with hardness #3 comes fitted to the seatpost. #5 and #7 are also included.

Cane Creek recommends the following Elastomers for rider weights:

#1 for less than 45 kg

#3 for 45-65 kg

#5 for 65-86 kg

#7 for 86 - 114 kg
