Castelli Estremo Shoe Covers black (black)
Castelli set out to create their warmest bootie ever, which meant rethinking how booties are made. For the windproofing they went with GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER fleece-backed fabric, which also lets more moisture escape than any other windproof fabric. Then they added a second fleece layer with Polartec Power Stretch Pro, which is unrivaled in overall loft. The two layers are thick enough that they had to do a "wheel well" single-layer construction by the ball of the foot to prevent the fabric from rubbing on the crank. Castelli made the bootie high for extra warmth and gave reasonable splash protection.

A good and warm cover for the shoes but a bit difficult to get over the heel and as usual with Castelli very small in sizes. I'm a size 42 and the XL is super tight and a zipper has broken... Take your usual size and go up two sizes!

Good product, previous trips at approx. 5 ° were great, difficult to put on - needs getting used to, I hope the material does not tear with constant use with the required stretching (over normal TRI shoes) but so far everything is as it should, long shaft great, ankles thicker but not streaking inside, ok so far!
