Functional underwear & baselayers
All outdoor athletes benefit from wearing functional baselayers. Modern functional underwear sits against your skin, ensuring a comfortable and dry feeling in all weather conditions. Moisture is wicked away from the skin and prevents rapid cooling. Their high breathability supports
the body's natural temperature balance. Cycling underwear is either made of synthetic materials (designed to be particularly breathable), or of natural fibres such as merino wool (which offer excellent temperature regulation and wearing comfort). In any case, in addition to a close fit, make sure you opt for a design with non-chafing flat seams.
