The outstanding compounding technology
Based on an activated silica compound, the company has been working purposefully towards a compounding technology in the performance segment. The result of the Korbach research and development department (after intensive development work) is a new compound technology with excellent grip and cross-country properties. The new rubber compound with the self-explanatory name "PureGrip" joins the BlackChili compound and is used in performance products in the race and mountain bike segments. Here, it provides long-lasting traction and high mileage for Continental tyres, which are manufactured exclusively in their production facility in Hefei (Asia).

This tire is particularly suitable for e-bikes. Got my Bontrager XR3 29" 56/622 with tire pressure 2.3-3.4 bar. The Conti Mountain King 29" 58/622 with tire pressure 2.3-3.7 bar rides much smoother on my hardtail with saddle suspension. (~2.8Bar Ø) With the optimal tire pressure, you can always get more out of it. Despite the low weight, the carcass is very well made. Full braking: grip not optimal. Not recommended for driving with a trailer. Value for money: Good
