Deuter's story began way back in 1898 in Augsburg, Germany when its founder Hans Deuter began making sacks and bags from canvas and linen for the royal post office. A few years later the company started manufacturing backpacks, equipping numerous mountaineers for legendary tours such as Anderl Heckmaier's first ascent of the north face of the Eiger in 1938. The company's spirit of innovation has led Deuter to become one of the world's best-known backpack manufacturers for outdoor activities and, since 1991, for cycling as well. Outstanding technologies combined with great funtionality and sustainability set Deuter's products aside to this day. This also includes the company's women's backpacks, which can be recognised by the distinctive yellow lily.

In 2019 Deuter completely revised the Trans Alpine Pro, the favourite backpack for ambitious long-distance bikers and alpine crossers. The modern design and numerous new features, such as the Airstripes back system for optimum ventilation and improved fit, make it the perfect companion on any trail.
