Product description
DT Swiss RWS Plug In Rear Wheel Axle QR 12/148mm TA Boost MTB X12
DT Swiss's patented RWS wheel mounting system is rigid, safe and easy to use. The Plug In version offers all the advantages of tool-free mounting of the thru axle, if you wish. If you prefer the clean look of a screw axle, simply pull off the lever unit and stow it in the backpack. Or leave them right at home. On the axle there is a 5 mm hexagon which can be operated with any standard tool. On the lever unit there is also a 5 mm hexagon which can of course also be used as a mini tool on the road. Clean and smart: The RWS Plug In.

I've been using DT PlugIn for my bike for a long time now. First with a normal hub and now with a boost hub. It is interesting to note that the "handle" can be removed and that there are no appendages that can get stuck in the plants in the case of very "dirty" paths in terms of vegetation. The advantage of the weight is not indifferent because by taking just one "handle" or simply a 6mm L-shaped hexagonal key, you can unscrew both the front pin and the rear pin. For fanatics, this saves almost 30 / 35gr. pivot. Moreover, the weight of the same pin without a "handle", compared to the pin of some "esoteric" brands that cost a head's eye, looks good for nothing. I had some Extremelites who were around 25gr. each one. This weighs about 40gr. at half the price ... it's not cheap.
Good climbs !!
