The 300 gram light Alpine Pro shoe promises trail runners comfort, versatility and protection across medium and long distances. It also offers a particularly low weight. The "Alpine Rolling" midsole construction - a double-compressed EVA midsole - increases walking dynamics and provides a smooth roll from heel to toe. The drop is eight millimetres and guarantees high support on medium and long runs in demanding, varied terrain. Additional protection against stony ground: a carbon plate integrated between midsole and outsole protects the feet from below. The "Carbon Shield" protects and contributes to the reactivity and durability of the shoe. The new Rubber Tension concept, a diagonal reinforcement on the heel, provides an even more precise grip whilst the Vibram Megagrip sole promises best grip in alpine terrain as well as in wet and dry weather.
The 'neutral shoe' or 'cushioning shoe' is equipped without pronation support (the lateral support of the foot). These shoes are therefore suitable for runners who have regular rolling behaviour, i.e. who do not roll their feet inwards or outwards when running. The neutral shoe can be used for competition, for fast training and for long endurance sessions. The damping may vary depending on the application: in order to achieve more direct ground contact during competition, it is advisable to use only a slightly cushioned shoe. When training on hard surfaces or for long distances, more cushioned shoes offer better comfort and protect the joints.
