Fox Racing Shox SLS shock spring - robust and lightweight comfort for downhill, freeride and enduro

When the going gets particularly rough on downhill terrain, steel spring shocks are more robust than air shocks. The latter are lighter, but Fox has come up with something special with the SLS (Super Light Steel) to save weight. Due to the special surface treatment and a stress-reduced manufacturing process, the spring's residual stress is reduced, which makes it more resilient. This also allows a smaller material diameter with fewer spring coils. Thus, the Fox Superlight steel springs are even lighter than titanium springs.
