Red Zone 3, the second MTB wheel from Fulcrum, is the result of the experience gained from the development of the Red Zone Carbon. It is designed for all riders who are looking for a reliable and durable product for performance-oriented off-road fun.

Among the technical specifications derived directly from its big brother are the hubs and the number of spokes: 24 at the front and 28 at the rear. The CNC-machined aluminium rim has a profile height of 19 mm and an inner rim width of 25 mm.
Aesthetically, the wheel is finished off with an advanced finish that combines a double-polished matt finish with laser-etched graphics. The Fulcrum logo is in a red box, which can also be replaced by a reflective sticker, black on black, which is included with the wheels.

The Red Zone 3 is an all-round wheel that is extremely versatile: as a training wheel, as a robust race wheel or as a perfect base for adventure bikes (Boost Gravel).

Wide Rim Tech
The Fulcrum F E department, following the requests of the racing teams, worked to create rims with a greater width in relation to the past, from about 4 mm more than the previous ones.
This technical choice makes it possible to offer the ideal support base for 25/28 mm tyres, the sizes preferred today. In this way, stability, optimum handling and high comfort are guaranteed.

Cup & Cone
The plain and conical bearing differs from the classic cartridge bearings in that it works perfectly aligned with the corresponding forces, weight and thrusts coming from the frame, since the balls run on a groove positioned in direct opposition to these forces.

Asymmetric rim
The rim asymmetry is designed to improve the tension of the rim while balancing the forces coming from the brakes and pinion pack.

2WAY - Fit Ready (MTB)
Red Zone 500-700 and Red Fire 500 wheels can be run with inner tubes, but are tubeless ready.
