If you do a lot of travelling, you'll love the pre-installed Garmin bike maps for Europe, Africa and North America on the Edge 1030 Plus! The route guidance of the Edge 1030 Plus is the result of billions of kilometres of route data uploaded by cyclists like you. The Edge 1030 Plus selects the most frequently travelled routes twice as fast as its predecessor. You can pause your route to discover areas off your route, resume when you've seen enough or return directly to the starting point of your tour. Your tours can also be planned in advance via the Garmin Connect app or with other platforms, e.g. Strava or Komoot, and synchronised with the Edge.

The Edge 1030 Plus shows you the way on the convenient 3.5 inch colour display with touchscreen function. Early turn-by-turn directions ensure that you can navigate stress-free. Trail instead of road? The Edge 1030 Plus responds with the pre-installed Trailforks app! This app contains routes that take your needs and abilities into account. The "Forksight mode" within the app shows you every fork in the road and the trail network as a whole.

Training
There are people who just ride bikes and then there are people like you who push their limits and chase their best marks on every ride. The Garmin Edge 1030 Plus offers an unashamed variety of functions to help you organise your training professionally.

In conjunction with the corresponding sensors, the Edge 1030 Plus gives you an overview of how efficiently you are training, whether and in which areas you can improve or whether you have overloaded yourself. Based on your data, it then provides appropriate training suggestions as to which areas you should focus on. VO2max values provide information about your cardiorespiratory fitness and aerobic performance, heat and altitude adaptation tell you how your body adapts to different climatic conditions, data about your pedalling effort (in conjunction with the Garmin Vector System) tells you whether you can improve your cycling position or bike configuration.

Graphical ascent data on a route, eating and drinking alarms to avoid dehydration or hunger pangs, MTB tour or downhill analyses with measured values such as number of jumps, jump distance and airtime - the possibilities are almost endless.

Communication
Are you travelling in a group and once again faster than everyone else? Would you like to read the text messages but don't want to take your mobile phone out of your jersey pocket? Your loved ones are at home and would like to know how you are progressing on your tour? The Garmin Edge 1030 Plus offers you a wide range of communication options!

In combination with a compatible smartphone, you can use the Group Track function to keep an eye on your friends, even if they are out of sight. Sending and receiving group messages is also no problem. If required, your smartphone can also forward text messages, emails or alarms addressed to you to your Edge 1030 Plus.

Smart Track allows you to show your family or friends which route you want to take and where you are - in real time! These functions not only keep you connected, but are also the prerequisites for the following area of application.

Safety
Your safety comes first. Especially when you are travelling in remote areas, a fall can only become explosive if you simply cannot be found. With the Garmin Edge 1030 Plus, this should no longer happen!

In combination with your smartphone, the Edge sends automated accident notifications to your emergency contacts when it detects an accident. If you want to be on the safe side, the Edge 1030 Plus can also perform all communication and safety functions directly without your smartphone via an "InReach" subscription. "InReach" uses the Iridium network with 100 per cent worldwide coverage.

Garmin doesn't forget about the safety of your bike. The Edge 1030 Plus is equipped with a pin-protected theft alarm. If your bike is moved while the alarm is activated, you will receive a notification on your smartphone.

Flexibility and effectiveness
The Garmin Edge 1030 Plus is compatible with apps and applications from all four corners of the globe: Pairing with Tacx indoor trainers, special displays for data from the Shimano Steps e-bike system, custom data fields from the Connect IQ range or route planning and synchronisation with apps such as Strava, Komoot, TrainingPeaks, TrainerRoad and many more.

Last but not least, all of this is powered by a highly effective battery with up to 24 hours of runtime. It can even be doubled with the separate "Garmin Charge" battery pack.
