The headband protects well against wind, I use it under my bike helmet. However, the material rustles a lot when you pull it over your ears. Maybe I'm a bit sensitive about this topic, but the materials used in my other headbands don't have this "loud" quality. The rustling can also be heard while driving. You get used to it, of course, but it can be a bit distracting from the traffic noise.
