Please note: all of our bike models come with an EU standard brake setup. This will need to be reversed to comply with UK cycling standards.
Based on the Dominion A4, Hayes has developed a two-piston version that is at home on trails and in cross country.
The brake caliper has been adapted from the completely newly developed A4 and guarantees high braking power. There is an adjustment for the lever travel and the associated position of the encoder piston. The brake promises to be intuitive and to show a defined increase in braking power when the pads hit the ground, ensuring high predictability and control. Hayes is also particularly proud of the new bleeding system: the brake caliper is equipped with two bleeding holes to ensure optimal bleeding of the system.
A 2 mm grub screw allows the position of the caliper to be adjusted at the brake screw connection. The screw connection is made with SRAM's Matchmaker technology, but there is also an adapter for Shimano's I-Spec 2 mounting.
The Dominion A2 is also available in the SFL version. The special feature of the Short-Finger-Lever: The brake lever is specially designed for more compact ergonomics. Hayes' development team has created a dedicated lever that is ideal for small hands and provides riders with the same powerful braking force. Compromises between braking power and ergonomics are now history once and for all.
Achieving high braking power with little finger force - that's the focus of the Dominion A2. When braking hard, there is never again any unnecessary waste of power.
