Wind tunnel tested
In order to guarantee the high quality standards, HJC helmets are subjected to continuous testing, both in the laboratory and under real conditions. HJC is one of the few companies that can afford to own one of the most modern wind tunnel test facilities in the world. Here all imaginable riding situations can be simulated.
HJC attaches particular importance to the safety of drivers in poor lighting conditions. That's why all helmets are equipped with reflector zones. Since the helmet towers well above the road level, this is a good way to generate maximum visibility.
Advanced Air Channel System
Air Channels are HJC's air channels which run inside the helmet. Depending on speed, cold air flows through the front openings, glides through the Air Channels and carries warm air through the rear openings. This ensures optimum air circulation inside the helmet, which cools the head during the ride.
In order to achieve maximum ventilation, the aerodynamics of the helmets are based on the Bernoulli principle. The flow pressure created in motion increases towards the rear. The resulting heat is directed outwards through the rear ventilation ducts by cold air flowing in from the front. This effect ensures an optimally ventilated helmet.
Internal reinforcement structure
The skeleton of the helmet, which is intended to preserve the structure of the helmet in the event of an impact, is firmly attached to the EPS. It not only holds the helmet together, but also provides support in the event of an impact.
Light as a feather
HJC helmets are designed to be as light as possible. Thickness and density of the material, shapes and special materials play a role in the lightweight construction.
In-mold construction is a method of connecting the EPS to the outer polycarbonate shell to achieve higher strength in the structure. In addition to a clean finish, this results in a much firmer structure and thus more safety and rigidity.
