The SCRUB 16 is the result of all wishes packed together into one backpack. That means a minimalist design, integrated back protection, lots of storage space and maximum comfort. The V String Carrying System automatically adapts to your anatomy with just one strap to pull. The Farfalle Joint that connects the shoulder straps to the backpacks lets you move freely. Just in case your going gets a bit tough & rough, ION integrated a lightweight multi-impact-compliant EPP back protector for your safety.
The big storage compartment can be accessed through one big zipper that opens up the whole front. Small flaps hold the zipper in place if you just want to access the upper part of the backpack. The compartment features extras like a goggle pouch, space for a drinking bladder, eMTB battery or a small laptop/tablet and can be divided into two parts. The lower part offers enough space for dirty or wet clothes and can be accessed through the side zipper. On top the SCRUB 16 offers enough space for your helmet (Home_of Helmets) and pads as well as more small pockets on the removable hip-belt. As an added extra, this backpack also comes with a rain cover and tool pouch.
Technologies:
V String Carrying System w/ Farfalle Joint on shoulder straps:
The Farfalle Joint at the very top of the shoulder straps secures the perfect fit of the backpack, no matter how wide your shoulders are. It increases the range of motion of the shoulder straps on the lateral axis allowing for automatic adjustment and the right individual fit.
Lightweight, multi-impact compliant EPP back protector (fully integrated):
EPP (expandable polypropylene) is a very lightweight closed-cell foam offering outstanding energy absorption, multiple impact resistance and keeps its capabilities on a wide temperature range.
So_Watt Compartment (for eMTB batteries & everything else):
E-MTB? So Watt? Just grab a second battery to increase the range of your ride and store it in the particular compartment.
Preformed & air-permeable EVA shoulder straps:
The open structure makes the shoulder straps particularly breathable and also offers an ergonomic shape that adapts to the contours.
Home Of Helmets:
A standard feature that is still worth mentioning: Packed in a small zip pocket on the side of the backpack, the Home Of Helmet holds the helmet (half shell and full face) to the backpack when you pedal uphill for hours. Or in the shuttle.
Tool Compartment:
The Place To Be for tools, spare parts and secret sugar supplies. And the best: just take it out and put it next to the broken bike. And back in again when everything is whole again.
Compressor Straps:
Basically, pedalling with ION knee pads is no problem at all. But in case you ride without protectors, you can simply attach them to your backpack. Or use the straps to compress the backpack when it is not loaded to the top.
Separatist compartment:
More order through separation. Your jacket has her place, the hoodie another. The whole thing becomes even more practical when some parts start to smell. Just separate them from the rest.
