A closer look at the sole reveals a new concept in which ION mixes a softer EVA sole with a softer but tougher rubber. The result is the Pin Tonic.

The Scrub Amp has an asymmetric shaft to better protect the inner side of the crank. The sole contains special zones, each designed for pedaling or running. This zone extends from the ball of the foot to the end of the middle foot. The toe and heel areas have been equipped with special climbing areas to provide support away from the pedal. The second special mix revolves around the perfect combination of stiffness in the longitudinal axis and flexibility in the lateral axis. Because a flat pedal shoe must offer unhindered power transmission in the longitudinal axis during pedaling.

On the side axle, however, a certain amount of flex is required to keep the foot from slipping. In all this, you must not neglect a pleasant rolling feeling when walking.
