very good lock with very bad mount

The castle is great. The predecessor has served me very well for many years – at least 20 – with frequent daily use. At some point the lock cylinder was so worn out that I could no longer turn the key and needed a new lock. But the mount isn't the same anymore, which is a real problem:
The mounting strap on the new mount is difficult to tighten enough during installation to keep the lock where you want it. Then it lengthens after a short time under the normal local weather conditions, so that after a few days you have to tie it down. Of course, this is only possible if the belt was not shortened or only slightly shortened during assembly. And after about 9 months, the whole bracket with the lock in it wobbles so much that it's no longer good. Then lashing it down didn't do anything for me.
What Krypronite was thinking here is beyond me.
Mainly because the predecessor did not have a belt and was easy to tighten with screws. But that was only rarely necessary. And the old holder held up very well for many years with frequent daily use, until a plastic part broke at some point. I would have bought such a mount again at any time, but unfortunately it is no longer available.
Clear purchase recommendation for the lock, but only if you don't want to use the bracket.

Already on the first day, the lock fell out of the holder several times while cycling during 'adventurous' driving behaviour. When moving from top tube to another tube, a better result was also delayed.
However, the quality of the lock is tip top, the rubber coating protected the lock when falling, so that there is only superficial damage.
