I charge it maybe once a month, that's ok for me, I use it on the slightly less bright luminosity level, which is still brighter than many other permanently installed lighting systems. The battery indicator has 3 display options, green amber and red. When the display jumps to red, the battery actually only lasts a few minutes before the lamp goes out for the first time. But you can still turn it on a few times. It's best to load it when it's on yellow. The total lighting time of the lamp is fully ok for the size of the lamp. Another tip, if you charge the lamp slowly, e.g. via the USB port of a PC, the battery will last longer.
