We bought 2 pcs. One of them worked well. It is thus a small hose that you thread into the pump itself. The threads on the hose side are made of metal while the threads on the pump are made of plastic and are very fragile and were defective on our ex. When I was going to screw in the hose (carefully) it did not want to thread right but came crooked. Tried a few times and finally succeeded. But as I said, the plastic threads are bad now. Will be a complaint on one of them.
