Maxxis Assegai Folding Tyre 29x2.50" WT EXO+ TR 3C MaxxTerra

Although it was not launched until the end of 2018, Greg Minaar's Signature tyre has already achieved many World Cup and Enduro World Series successes. Maxxis is offering the Assegai with its incredible grip from 2020 with three casing versions (EXO, EXO+ and DD) for your trail bike.

WIDE TRAIL CASING
The Wide Trail (WT) construction optimises the tread layout and tyre shape on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are designed for narrow rims and get a too square shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 39 mm.

3C MAXX TERRA
The right 3C compound for Enduro and Freeride tyres. Smooth running uphill and best grip downhill characterize this compound as well as a long life span.

EXO+ PROTECTION
The new EXO+ construction combines two of their best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO.
The SilkShield layer surrounds the entire tyre from bead to bead, while the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Together, the EXO+ provides the following benefits: 27% better puncture protection on the tread / 51% stronger sidewall / 8% more puncture protection
