Maxxis Dissector Folding Tyre 27.5x2.40" WT EXO+ TR 3C MaxxTerra black

Troy Brosnan wanted to create a unicorn of hoops. A tire that rolls incredibly fast, cuts through corners precisely and decelerates well when needed. The tread pattern of Rekon, Minion DHF and HighRoller II was taken as a starting point for this and was designed in close cooperation with Troy during the 2018 World Cup season.
The DH version of the DISSECTOR is perfectly suited as a rear tyre, whether for racing or in the bike park. The trail version also makes sense on the front wheel if you want a front tyre that rolls easily and has good grip.

WIDE TRAIL CASING
The Wide Trail (WT) construction optimises the tread layout and shape of the tyre on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are designed for narrow rims and get a too square shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 39 mm. The following MTB tire widths are available in WT construction: 2.40WT / 2.50WT / 2.60WT wide tires have basically a WT construction, but no WT marking on the tire sidewall.

EXO+ PROTECTION
The new EXO+ construction combines two of their best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO.
The SilkShield layer surrounds the entire tyre from bead to bead, the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Together, the EXO+ provides the following benefits: 27% better puncture protection on the tread / 51% more stable sidewall / 28% more puncture protection compared to our proven stable EXO carcass. Tyres with EXO+ Protection are designed for aggressive trailriding and enduro racing, and especially for the higher torque and weight of E-MTBs.
