Maxxis Gypsy Clincher Tyre 26x2.10" Dual SilkShield E-Bike

For an optimum combination of good rolling and safe cornering with DualCompound tread made of two optimally matched rubber compounds. To keep you safely on course, the Gypsy has a secure SilkShield over its 60 TPI carcass, the all-round protection for tyres from rim edge to rim edge, so not only the tread but also the sidewalls are protected from punctures. This safety is especially important for fast e-bikes. Two versions of the Gypsy are approved for 45 km/h fast e-bikes according to the ECE-R75 standard. All other versions are suitable for pedelecs.

Silkworm
Silkworm is a protective layer developed by Maxxis that lies under the tread and protects the tyre from punctures, cracks and other carcass injuries.

Silkshield
SilkShield offers Silkworm protection from rim edge to rim edge. It thus prevents cuts and other defects on the tyre sidewalls and under the tread.

E-Bike
All Maxxis tyres can be ridden on pedelecs / e-bikes with e-support up to 25 km/h. Fast pedelecs with support up to 45 km/h must be fitted with tyres manufactured in accordance with the ECE-R75 standard and bear the relevant information on the tyre. Maxxis models with the "e-bike" logo meet and exceed the requirements for tyres for fast e-bikes and the ECE-R75 standard.
