Maxxis Hookworm Clincher Tyre 29x2.50" MaxxPro

In 20″ the original Urban Assault tyre from MAXXIS: Designed to withstand abuse by the most aggressive street riders. Durability and traction in all applications, whether for stairs, rails or skateparks. The typical Urban tyres now in 24″ and 26″ versions. Here the profile is completely drawn through the tyre flanks up to the rim edges. This makes the side walls as stable as the running surface and extremely durable. That is why many bicycle rickshaws rely on these tyres. Especially for them, the Hookworm is now available in 24″ and 26″ again with the extremely stable downhill carcass (60DW), where 6 fabric layers under the tread and 4 on the side walls protect against flats.

Wire bead core
The bead core must hold the tyre securely on the rim. High-quality wire is very well suited for this - the disadvantages are: Not foldable and slightly heavier (approx. 50g more).
