Notches on the lugs improve the transition when turning into corners. Part of the centre lugs have a paddle shape, they dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control.

Doubledown tyres are built like downhill tyres: two carcass plies reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. However, with two 120 TPI carcass plies and an aramid bead, they are significantly lighter than downhill tyres and much more stable and robust than EXO+TR tyres, making them ideal for tough enduro courses.
