About the brand

Founded in Taiwan in 1967, the company now employs over 30,000 people worldwide. Also, it has distribution of products across about 170 nations. Furthermore, the brand devotes to environmental preservation. This has resulted in the development of new technologies for the production of 'Maxxis Green' tyres. This innovative technology, created in the company's R&D departments, examined both tread layout and the materials employed.

Maxxis International dedicatedly provides the world with high-quality tyres at reasonable rates. Also, it is popular for their high-performance bicycle tyres, but they also manufacture tyres for motorcycles, cars, vans, trucks, HGVs, agricultural equipment, and other vehicles, all of which are of exceptional quality.

The brands products are rigorously tested both in-house and at the world's premier tyre testing facilities. Furthermore, Maxxis engineers test its tyres with national and world-class champions, as well as teams from throughout the world. Also the business employs the most modern manufacturing equipment and engineering facilities in the business, with each new tyre subjected to a rigorous professional examination prior to production.

DHF and DHR Maxxis Minion

Both tyres DHF and DHR are Maxxis Minion. DHF refers to Downhill Front or Freeride, and DHR is for Downhill Rear or Race. Individuals have used these tires in both the front and back of their bikes, irrespective of the naming tradition. So, what's the distinction?

The side knobs on both tires are L-shaped. The style of the central knobs is where they vary. The DHF's center knobs are nearer to each other and to the side knobs, which means they have excellent traction in arid and semi-dry situations. The disadvantage is that the dense center knobs work poorly when it comes to cleaning muck.

The DHR center knobs feature a more paddle-like form, making the tyre better at very steep technical hills as well as better breaking grip in steep terrain. It's also a little lighter than the DHF, rolling faster, and helps clear mud easier than the DHF since the middle knobs are more spaced out. Having said that, the DHF is a more accurate directional tire.

Are maxxis minion tubeless?

Tubeless Ready (TR) tires are available from Maxxis for all riding disciplines. On retain air, TR tires must fit to a tubeless-compatible rim and sealed with a liquid sealer.
