The super lightweight Core Plus with lots of features for even more performance, such as the reinforced NRG Air Carbon sole with a stiffness index of 8.0 and 5 ventilation openings for perfect ventilation. Very good shoes, SPD conversion difficult

The fit is perfect for my giant feet. Reasonably priced shoe with Boa lacing. Since I've only used SPD (MTB) so far, I identified the product photo on the sole with the longitudinal slots as SPD-compatible. Northwave has an enclosed sticker that offers SPD as an option, "Matching adapter plate available from authorized NW dealers". I can give the all-clear here. Shimano usually sells the plate together with the cleats. But first you have to remove the 3-point plate and that is really extremely tedious because the opening in the sole does not match the shape of the plate and everything is glued. This procedure is also completely undocumented. But after an hour of sweaty prickling, I made it. If you want to use SPD, you should definitely buy the outer adapter from Shimano, which protects the cleats!
