Because let's face it, in city driving there's no need for elaborate suspension. But you will feel the weight saved in this way every time you pedal.
The Detroit has a complete street equipment, stable aluminium rims and a 6-speed Shimano derailleur. Braking is done with a powerful V-brake at the front and rear wheel.
Thanks to the classic diamond frame and the large adjustment range of handlebars and saddle, riders between 1.65 m and 1.85 m are comfortable on the road with the Ortler Detroit EQ Unisize frame size.

I'm really happy with the bike. It makes a solid impression and perfectly meets my needs in city traffic. It should be clear that you cannot expect top components for this price and so the lighting, for example, is rather poor, but sufficient.
However, the condition of the delivered bike was annoying. The front wheel had a noticeable lateral runout that had to be removed before the brake could even be adjusted. It is also annoying that the announced delivery date has been postponed twice on the same day.
