The Ortler Meran - a puristic 28 inch sports touring bike with Brooks core leather saddle.
With the Meran a beautiful design concept came true: timeless appearance meets proven tradition and state-of-the-art bicycle technology. The lack of suspension brings advantages - direct handling, low weight, less wear. Ortler’s Meran is a light, sporty bike that concentrates on the essentials. Elegant, thanks to its Brooks core leather saddle, but also comfortable. The medium sitting position is additionally improved by touring handlebars and grips, so that even demanding bike tours remain enjoyable. Proven Shimano drive components and its hub dynamo LED lighting system ensure high reliability and long-lasting riding pleasure.

The bike is okay, with some drawbacks, the mudguards are too narrow, they look stylish, but are not enough to protect against splashes. Frame is very rigid and not comfortable on forest trails, ok on the road. Operating instructions are extremely weak, not model-specific, but kept general, without going into the specific details of the bike. Therefor grade 5.

I bought the bike few month ago for a tour in Europe and it has been a great investment. I was a bit scared to buy it online but I am so happy now! After 2000 km i just had to change the brakes which were used but nothing else!
