Campagnolo Parts for Road and Triathlon

Campagnolo Bike Parts

Campagnolo has a storied history as a producer of road bike components. The company invented the first quick-release axle for road bike wheels and the modern rear derailleur system that nearly every bike on the road uses today.Campagnolo lacks the popularity of competitors like Shimano and SRAM, in part because it caters primarily to racers and other competitive cyclists. But, the Italianparts manufacturer continues to push the boundaries of bike technology. If you’re looking to upgrade your road or triathlon bike to reap the benefits of maximum performance, Campagnolo parts have a lot to offer.

Why Choose Campagnolo Parts?

With the dominance of Shimano and SRAM, why opt for Campagnolo? There are a couple of things that help this company stand out in a highly competitive field.

Quality

The first thing that sets Campagnolo’s parts apart is the quality of theirconstruction. Drivetrain parts in particular are designed with heavier-duty cut-outs than is standard, giving them a longer lifespan without adding much weight to your bike.On top of that, Campagnolo parts simply stand out. The company uses a shiny chrome finish on its aluminium parts that’s instantly recognisable within thecycling community. While there’s not a concrete benefit to this, many cyclists swear that they feel faster just because of how sharp their bike looks withCampagnolo components.

Ultra-Torque Cranks

When Campagnolo introduced the Ultra-Torque crank system, the cycling worldtook notice. This system joins the crank arm axles and bottom bracket, ultimatelyreducing the extension of the crank arm itself. The result was a new industry standard for crank arm stiffness, efficiency, and weight – one that still hasn’t been beat nearly a decade later.

Ultra-Shift and 12-speed Shifting

Two of Campagnolo’s recent innovations came in improving on existing shifting systems. The first is Ultra-Shift, which allows you to shift up three sprockets or down five in a single click. That’s a huge advantage in races, where you quick shifting at thestart of a hill or sprint can be the difference between first and second. The second is 12-speed shifting, which Campagnolo introduced in 2018 ahead of Shimano and SRAM. 12-speed shifting is now available on the popular Chorusgroupset, putting it firmly within the budgets of mid-tier riders. These follow on the heels of Campagnolo’s Micro Precision Shifting system, which offers ultra-fast shifting for 10-speed cassettes.

Ergopower Hoods

Another thing that sets Campagnolo apart is its Ergopower hood design. Thisunique shifting and braking lever system is designed to perfectly match the contours of the human hand, allowing you to ride with more comfort and better control over your levers. The contoured levers also help with bike handling, since you get a better grip on the handlebars when riding on the hoods.
