Mountain bike seatposts: adjust saddle height on the fly
Like road bike seatposts, mountain bike seatposts are available in various designs. All models are steplessly adjustable for angle, position and saddle height. There are rigid MTB seatposts; however, more and more mountain bikers use height-adjustable 'dropper' seatposts, most of which can be adjusted from the handlebars with a remote lever. With dropper seatposts, the saddle can be spontaneously lowered on a tricky section without having to get off and interrupt the ride. Although they're heavier and require extra cabling, they're worth it!
