The Deore and SLX components are favoured by a wide range of mountain bikers, including recreational cross-country and all-mountain riders. Shimano XT and XTR mountain bike parts are used by enduro and downhill racers, but can also be suitable for riders who spend long days on the trail and need maximum performance from their bikes.

Shimano Gravel Groupsets

Shimano doesn’t have quite as full a lineup of groupsets for gravel riders. But, thecompany’s GRX groupset includes three different sub-tiers to balance performanceand price. Importantly, GRX components are highly versatile, giving you the option to run a 1x or 2x chainring, wide range derailleurs, and disc brakes on your gravel bike.
