The 2016 version of the Atlas crank arm is already its second generation. It’s made of the same OPTIM-AL aluminium, which is 20% stronger than classic 7050 aluminium. So the new version is still as bombproof and stiff as its predecessor, but has some improvements:

- The Atlas has Race Faces new EXI interface integrated. This allows the crank arm to be installed and replaced quickly and painlessly.
- The weight was also reduced to 31 to 81 grams (depending on the model) without reducing the strength.

With its slimmer profile, the 2016 Atlas is the lightest freeride crank Race Face has ever built.
