Product description

Red Cycling Products Advance Road Knit Shoes light grey (light grey)

Red Cycling Products Advance Road Knit shoes - road cycling shoes in a contemporary design

These road shoes are made from a strong, woven upper and are lightweight and minimalist. Instead of ratchet, Velcro or Boa closures, this shoe has traditional laces for an even sleeker, more classic look. The fabric fits the foot perfectly and is reinforced with a transparent film in the toe area and heel so you have a good grip in the shoe. The hard sole with a hole for three-hole cleats provides plenty of pressure on the pedal. A small heel makes walking easier.

Good shoe - wrong advice
Translated from the German To the original
First to the shoe: I have size 44 but quite wide feet and a high instep. Normally I buy size 45 for cycling shoes - but thanks to the elastic fabric, the 44 fits perfectly here. The shoe is comfortable to wear and I like the look. In my layman's opinion, the power transmission when pedaling is very good thanks to the hard sole. But you can't walk with it :) Now to Bikester: This is my first "click shoe" - otherwise I ride Magpeds on my mountain bike. So I had no idea there were different systems. Should have informed me beforehand - my fault. But the shoe was recommended to me when I was looking for shoes for gravel bikes. In my opinion, the "three-hole system" for gravel bikes is not really recommended, because when you are off-road or on bike tours, it can happen that you have to/want to dismount and e.g. the wheel has to be carried or something. But I wouldn't want to walk 5 meters in these shoes - let alone up or down any slope. So the shoe is more for racing cyclists (shoe is also called "road"), as a gravel biker I would choose another shoe with the Shimano SPD system.
