When I installed the luggage rack, I completely forgot that it was only intended for racing bikes and light luggage. And then I rode my mountain bike on a ~950km tour to Croatia. It went over roads and forests and any surface in between pretty well for a while. I should also mention that I didn't always load the goody symmetrically at 14-16kg. The first problem occurred after about 750km towards the end of the Parenzana route. For those who don't know it - it's a dismantled railway line that you should rather drive on with a fully. I thundered along happily at 30-40km/h and only stopped when the panniers were shot at unmanned people. That's when I noticed that the carrier wobbled a bit, but I didn't think it was anything bad due to the condition of the ground. It wasn't until I got to the beach that I noticed that one of the side welds had torn. The repair using several cable ties was very convenient and easy. At kilometer ~830, the seam on the opposite side opened up on stony ground and was also simply straightened.
What I particularly like about the carrier is its flexibility, which allows you to relieve the frame nicely. I would be happy if the manufacturer would reinforce the seams and offer a possibility for frame and axle assembly.

Great rack for bikes that have no points to fix
I got this to fit to my vintage racer, and it is great, light, easy to install. I look forward to doing some touring.
