I don't normally rate products negatively, but unfortunately I have no other choice. Criticized on Avid Elixir R 203/203: As soon as the pads are warm (approx. 200m at 20km / h downhill with the brake pulled in dry conditions!) An extremely loud and gruesome squeaking begins and the braking effect drops to a maximum of 30-40%. On the other hand, all surfaces that I have ridden in the wet so far have been a dream. Was really afraid that it would dismantle my saddles or disks, it was such a 'tearing' noise. To make matters worse, the disks turned black on every downhill run, no matter how small (otherwise only happens to me at> 500hm downhill on a steep slope) . Everything was fine when it was cold. Unfortunately, I didn't have any original Avid replacement pads with me, so I messed up a fantastic enduro trail weekend in the foothills of the Alps (luckily not in the high mountains). Tackled me a little, to put it politely. The rubbers have almost ended up in the scrap metal! Sorry, Reverse clearly has to make improvements or maybe it’s better to stay away from security-relevant components ... No longer an option for me, sorry.
